There are several ways to transfer your logo or design file to our production team.
Most of our items have a file uploader on the product page. If you have immediate access to your file, and it’s smaller than 64mb, you can upload your file to us before sending your item to the shopping cart.
You can attach the file to an email, and send it to email@example.com. This method works best with smaller files, less than 15mb in size.
For a larger file, you can use a service like Dropbox or WeTransfer.
For multiple large files, we recommend WeTransfer.com because it’s fast and free. You can transfer files up to 2gb at a time, and you can do multiple transfers. For best results, zip your files before transferring.
What type of files do we accept?
Logo Files: For best results, send us a vector logo file if you have one. These files are in the .ai, .eps, or .svg formats, and can be scaled up to large sizes with no quality loss.
If you don’t have a vector file, please send the largest, highest quality copy you have, in one of the following formats: PDF, AI, EPS, PSD, INDD, JPG, TIF, PNG. Our artists will notify you if there is any issue with your logo file.
Design Files: If you are submitting a design file for us to print, it’s always best to give us the native file. This way, we have access to the highest-quality version of the design, and we can also make any changes or adjustments if needed during pre-press. Without native files, we are unable to make any changes to your artwork.
Native files are created by the design software that was used, and should be PSD, EPS, AI, or INDD.
If native files are not available, a print-ready PDF is great. PDF files should have all fonts outlined, and transparencies flattened, before export. If you are in Photoshop, use the “Layers–>Flatten Image” command before exporting the PDF. In Illustrator, use the “Type–>Create Outlines” command on all your type.
If you don’t have a native or PDF version of your design available, please send us whatever image file you have. Our designers will let you know if there are any issues. Formats include JPG, PNG, TIF, TIFF.
We print in CMYK, so all design work should be in the CMYK color space or it will be converted. We do not do Pantone color matching. Colors will differ slightly from what you see on your monitor.
Rich blacks are important. Using standard black in CMYK printing can result in a dull, greyish tone. It’s better to use rich blacks if you want a deep, solid black covering a lot of area. This can be achieved by using the CMYK color code of: C=60, M=40, Y=40, K=100.
All files should be exported at 300dpi resolution, at the actual size you want printed. We don’t need bleeds unless otherwise noted. Some larger artwork such as banners and wallpaper, can be printed at lower resolutions like 150dpi. If there is any question you can ask our design department at firstname.lastname@example.org
Images pulled from the internet are not ideal because in most cases they are low resolution. If you must use web images, find the largest file sizes available. We can’t be responsible for any quality issues with images that you supply to us.
Customer is responsible for copyright clearance on all designs, logos, fonts, and photographs included in artwork that is submitted to T3Sub for printing.
Two inches of safe margin is standard on large banners. This means that text and other important information should not come within two inches of the outside edges of your design. This is less important on smaller items like window clings.
When possible, use a design template for the specific item you are producing.
Please note that when submitting customer artwork for T3Sub to print, all of these guidelines must be followed, or there is a risk the file may be rejected for print. In that case, you would need to either have your designer make the corrections, or provide us with the native file and pay a design fee to have us make the corrections.
